Age Definitons for 2023-24
GIRLS' 17 AND UNDER WAIVERED PLAYER:
Players who were born on or after July 1, 2004 (who are defined as 18 & under by the USAV Age Definition) who shall neither have completed nor are in a grade higher than the 11th grade during the current academic year will be allowed to participate at the USA Junior National Champsionship on 17 and under teams. This age waiver is still subjesct to frozen roster rules. (This age waiver is based on recruiting concerns for girls in the 11th grade wo would otherwise be required to paricipate in girls 18's qualifier and the Girls 18's GJNC.)
USA VOLLEYBALL JUNIOR PLAYER AGE DEFINITION For use during the 2022-2023 Season
Once a player participates (including but not limited to practicing, training, attending workouts and/or competing) in a club or varsity program for any university, college, community college, or junior college, he/she is ineligible to take part in any regional and national programming, which includes but is not limited to national JNC qualifying and championship events.
18 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2004 (including high school graduates eligible based on the above paragraph)
18 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2003 and a high school student in the twelfth (12th) grade or below during some part of the current academic year are eligible to compete on 18 and under teams.
17 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2005
Girls 17 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2004 (18 years or younger) who shall neither have completed nor are in a grade higher than the eleventh grade (11th) during the current academic year will be allowed to participate in the 17 an under age division. This age waiver is still subject to frozen roster rules. (This age waiver is based on recruiting concerns for girls in the 11th
16 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2006 15 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2007 14 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2008
Boys 14 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2007 (15 years or younger) who shall neither have completed nor are in a grade higher than the eighth grade (8th) during the current academic year will be allowed to participate at the USA Junior National Championships on 14 and under teams. This age waiver is still subject to frozen roster rules. (This exception is based on the 13 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2009
Boys 13 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2008 (14 years or younger) who shall neither have completed nor are in a grade higher than the seventh grade (7th) during the current academic year are eligible for a Region approved waiver to. This age waiver is still subject to frozen roster rules.
12 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2010
Boys 12 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2009 (13 years or younger) who shall neither have completed nor are in a grade higher than the sixth grade (6th) during the current academic year are eligible for a Region approved waiver to . This age waiver is still subject to frozen roster rules.
11 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2011 10 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2012 9 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2013 8 and Under Division: Players who were born on or after July 1, 2014

- All participants MUST register for tryouts.
- Tryouts are closed to parents.
- All participants must print out, complete, and turn in the player Participation Waiver.
- Returning Players: Last Years membership is current until August 1st 2023.
- New Players: Please obtain a $10 "try out membership" by following the link:
- If you are new to EVA we ask that players bring proof of membership to tryouts. Please bring a printed copy of the temporary or current USA membership.
ITEMS TO HAVE FOR TRYOUTS:
- Athletic clothing: spandex, t-shirt, shoes - volleyball, basketball, crosstrainer (NO Chuck Taylors, lifestyle, crossfit shoes), kneepads
- 2 water bottles
- Completed paper work and GL number
- A great attitude and Ready to work hard
Selected Players: Selected players will have their numbers posted on Evolution Volleyball website . Players will have 24hrs to accept or decline the offered position. To accept your position with Evolution Volleyball the participant/s parent / guardian will be required to log onto the Evolution Volleyball website and electronically sign the player contract and make their $1000 non refundable deposit. $1000 Select Regional Team (13U-17U), $1000 Black Travel Teams (13U-18U). Once a position is declined an alternate player will be contacted.
Alternate Players: Alternate players will have their numbers posted on the Evolution website. Players will be contacted within 48hrs should a position become available.
Payment Methods: All initial payments must be made via the Evolution website. Please note there are NO convenience fee's when making payments electronically.
